CNC Od Grinder

The CNC od grinder's main body and key components are constructed from Meehanite high-grade cast iron FC30, which undergoes artificial normalization heat treatment followed by natural aging. This process ensures long-term structural stability and internal stress relief. All critical components are machined in a single clamping process using world-class equipment such as YASDA, MITSUI SEIKI, TOSHIBA, and ELB, achieving micron-level precision and ensuring the fundamental accuracy of the entire machine.

The guideways and precision ball screws are continuously lubricated via a centralized automatic lubrication system, which extends component lifespan and maintains long-term machining accuracy. The cooling system is designed independently from the machine body to reduce vibration and improve heat dissipation.

The CNC od grinder machine is equipped as standard with a high-end Siemens CNC control system from Germany, featuring a user-friendly, foolproof interface developed through secondary programming. Paired with Siemens servo motors, it offers high compatibility and reliability. Optional automation components include: automatic end-face measuring device, automatic outer diameter measuring device, hydraulic tailstock with foot pedal, hydraulic chucking device, and an automatic wheel balancing system, among others.

The grinding wheel head feed system is built with Turcite-coated, hand-scraped V-flat guideways, a precision-ground ball screw, and automatic lubrication. This ensures smooth movement, high repeatability, and long service life of the guideways.

The grinding spindle features a high-precision dynamic and static pressure design, delivering outstanding rotational accuracy, high dynamic stiffness, excellent vibration resistance, and superior grinding surface finish. The spindle allows variable speed control and supports a maximum linear speed of 65 m/s, making it suitable for grinding complex or special workpieces.

The tailstock is rigid and robust, using a hardened alloy steel sliding sleeve housed in a cast iron body to carry an MT4 center. The clamping force of the sleeve can be conveniently adjusted using the rear knob. A hydraulic tailstock with foot pedal is available as an option for faster and easier workpiece loading and unloading.

The workhead adopts a bearing-supported structure with a fully sealed spindle sleeve design, fixed in position and equipped with a protective waterproof cover to prevent coolant or cutting fluid corrosion. A rotary cylinder can be added to support various fixture configurations for grinding different workpieces.

Multiple dressing methods are available, allowing users to select the optimal technique based on the specific grinding requirements of different workpieces.
