Main Applications and Performance Features
1. The control system utilizes a Siemens 828D CNC system with built-in CNC functions and an LCD display. A FANUC system is also available upon request.
2. The CNC od grinding machine is equipped with three digital drive axes: two linear motion axes (X/Z) and one rotary axis (C-axis).
3. It features an automatic grinding cycle function, ensuring highly stable machining accuracy.
4. Both the X and Z axes are driven by servo motors and equipped with high-precision Japanese THK ball screws. The X axis feeds the grinding wheel (along the workpiece diameter), while the Z axis reciprocates the worktable (along the workpiece axis).
5. Both the X and Z axes are equipped with optical linear encoders that detect and actively correct linear displacement, achieving closed-loop servo control.
6. The worktable (Z-axis) utilizes high-precision polymer-coated guideways to enhance vibration resistance and motion sensitivity, significantly extending the machine's service life.
7. The grinding wheel frame (X-axis) utilizes a double V-shaped cross-roller linear guideway, offering excellent positioning accuracy, strong radial support, and high motion sensitivity.
8. The CNC od grinding machine wheel spindle utilizes an integrated multi-oil wedge hydrostatic bearing structure, providing excellent rotational accuracy and rigidity. The independent hydrostatic oil tank uses No. 2 spindle oil, is equipped with a pressure gauge, and is cooled by a dedicated cooling system. It also features an energy storage device and a fluid level alarm, ensuring stable and reliable operation of the grinding wheel spindle.
9. The grinding wheel motor is equipped with a Japanese Yaskawa inverter, achieving a constant linear speed (above 50 m/s) and minimizing the impact of grinding wheel wear on grinding accuracy.
10. The grinding wheel spindle system is equipped with the Italian Marposs automatic dynamic wheel balancing system (WB system). This dynamic balancing system can be optionally equipped with a dead stroke elimination module and an ultrasonic anti-collision module (AE system) as required.
11. The headstock (workpiece spindle) is driven by a servo motor, offering precise positioning, stepless speed regulation, and forward and reverse rotation.
12. The tailstock consists of a tailstock body and spindle, equipped with a fine-adjustment mechanism. The tailstock spindle and the power spindles (grinding wheel spindle and headstock spindle) have the same center height, allowing the tailstock's busbar height and front-to-back distance to be adjusted according to specific needs. This fine adjustment of the tailstock spindle ensures quick and efficient operation, quickly meeting product processing requirements.




13. A separate electrical cabinet is used, and both the spindle oil tank and the electrical cabinet are equipped with cooling devices.
14. An efficient centralized lubrication system is used for components such as the lead screw and guide rails.
15. The equipment features a fully enclosed protective cover with an interlocking function to ensure safe operation.
16. Equipped with an independent cooling water tank, a built-in magnetic separator, and a paper tape filtration system. A high-flow cooling pump ensures sufficient workpiece cooling to prevent burns.
17. Equipped with an Italian Marposs online external diameter measuring instrument, the CNC od grinding machine detects the workpiece's position on the machine during machining and displays the machining status in real time. The system compares the measured deviation during grinding (machining speed) with the preset machining volume and sends a corresponding signal to the control system to control the grinding wheel feed speed, meeting stringent machining requirements.
18. Built-in Italian Marposs contact grinding wheel tool setting system (Auto Tooling): During machining, a measuring probe detects the workpiece's axial position and automatically sets the grinding wheel's position below the workpiece, preventing damage to the workpiece and equipment and reducing scrap. Offset settings save auxiliary time, eliminating the need for external tool setting equipment. When machining end faces, grinding wheel wear compensation is implemented, extending wheel life.
19. Dressing device: Equipped with both single-point diamond pen and diamond roller disc dressers, it can meet a variety of dressing needs, including external diameters, end faces, tapers, and arcs.
