CNC Vertical Turning and Boring Machine

The CNC vertical turning and boring machine sets a benchmark in the industry for its machining range, offering a maximum turning diameter of 8500 mm and an 8000 mm segmented worktable capable of supporting ultra-heavy workpieces up to 100 tons. With a maximum turning height of 4500 mm, it easily accommodates the precision machining of oversized parts such as giant flanges, large pressure vessels, and heavy rotors. The worktable delivers a maximum torque of 400 kN·m, powered by a 132 kW main motor. Its stepless speed range of 0.16–20 r/min ensures both stability in heavy cutting and precision in fine machining.

In terms of machining performance, the lathe is compatible with high-speed steel, carbide, and various high-performance cutting tools, and is capable of processing ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, and selected non-metallic materials. CNC vertical turning and boring machine supports integrated roughing and finishing operations for internal and external cylindrical surfaces, conical surfaces, flat surfaces, rotational curved surfaces, and grooving.

The vertical tool holders deliver maximum cutting forces of 80 kN (left) and 100 kN (right), while the robust 320 × 320 mm ram section provides solid support for high-strength material cutting. With a horizontal ram travel of 4400 mm and a vertical travel of 2500 mm, combined with a rapid tool post movement speed of 2000 mm/min and a crossbeam travel speed of 300 mm/min, the machine offers flexible coverage for extremely large workpieces.

Thanks to its high-precision structural design, the machine achieves a dimensional machining accuracy of IT7 grade. A 48 N·m feed servo motor ensures fine feed control, while the Φ3550 mm hydrostatic guideway and the 1000 mm-section crossbeam guideway further enhance operational stability. With an overall weight of approximately 210 tons and external dimensions of 13,000 × 11,500 × 8,350 mm, the CK5285×45/100 CNC vertical turning and boring machine provides a highly efficient, precise, and reliable all-in-one solution for ultra-large component machining.
