The core design feature of the Swiss-type lathe is that the spindle box is movable. During processing, the chip tool always operates at the position where the spindle and the workpiece are clamped. This type of equipment originated in Switzerland and was initially mainly used in the processing of precision military parts. Nowadays, it is widely applied in the batch processing of precision shafts and irregular non-standard parts, especially suitable for fields with extremely high requirements for precision and efficiency, such as the processing of dental implants in medical devices.

Recently, a customer approached us, asking us to find a suitable Swiss-type lathe for processing their dental implants. The dimensions are shown in the figure, ranging from a diameter of 4.5mm to 5.5mm, with a total length of 10mm to 13mm. The internal thread is M2, the external thread is approximately 0.7mm conical thread, and the hexagon socket hole is 2.5mm in size. He has very high precision requirements for machine processing. After confirmation by the engineer, the S206 CNC Swiss lathe can perfectly match his needs, with a repeat positioning accuracy reaching 0.003mm.

Swiss lathe specifically for dental implants

S206 CNC Swiss type lathe
High-precision spindle
The machine tool is equipped with a high-precision oil-cooled electric spindle. The main shaft bearings adopt imported high-precision angular contact bearings to ensure the high rigidity and long-term precision retention of the main shaft, with the main shaft runout ≤2μm.
High-performance cast iron
It adopts a newly designed high-rigidity structure. The integral bed and the drag plate are both made of high-quality Meehanite cast iron and have undergone aging treatment, featuring strong rigidity and excellent stability.
High-precision feed
All feed shafts are driven by full servo, and are equipped with imported high-precision lead screw bearings and imported high-precision lead screw guides. The key parts adopt roller guides to ensure structural rigidity, processing accuracy and long-term accuracy retention. The repeat positioning accuracy of each feed axis is ≤3μm.
Guide sleeve structure
It can quickly switch between guide sleeve and non-guide sleeve modes to meet diverse processing requirements.
